Ready by 21 Leadership Network Brochure
Now more than ever, every young person needs to be ready for college, work and life. Unfortunately, too few are, even though every community and state has dozens if not hundreds of programs, plans, policies and campaigns in place created by leaders like you who are trying to make a difference. If you are like the hundreds of leaders we have talked with, the challenge is that you are dealing with dozens of narrowly-defined problems (teen pregnancy, illiteracy, school dropouts, youth violence, premature births, etc.) that lead to fragmented responses that don’t add up to real change.
Fortunately, in almost every community and state, there are passionate leaders who have taken on the critical task of bringing together the full range of people working on child and youth issues. These leaders are helping weave these efforts together to transform their community or state into a wonderful place to grow up. Anyone trying to align disparate efforts to achieve greater effectiveness, sustainability or scale will want to become a registered Ready by 21 leader.
Registered Ready by 21 leaders have access to a growing array of networks, supports and services offered for free or at discount prices. And because of the Partnership’s commitment to raise funds to support state and
local capacity-building efforts that are often difficult to fund, leaders have the opportunity to apply for learning stipends, matching grants or technical assistance subsidies.
So whether you’re just getting started and using our quick self-assessment tools to guide your own learning, looking for like-minded leaders in similar communities, or positioned to create and implement a comprehensive action plan, the Ready by 21 Partnership is committed to connecting you with what you need – from presentations and publications to long-term technical assistance that helps you tackle obstacles and take advantage of opportunities.
